Ron was a referral from a buddy of his that I shot from his acting class.  Ron is a Cornellian who loves acting and currently works for Disney.  Great guy with a very friendly face (he’s got an awesome eyebrow move too!).  I picked this shot as one of my favorites because I think the environment and lighting really brings out his skin tone, and it’s the perfect headshot for a best buddy/comedic part.

I worked with Courtney through her agency here in LA (FORD Models) and I was definitely surprised when I saw her pop up this season on The Bachelor with Ben Flajnik.  Needless to say, because of Courtney, I’ve been tuning in this season and getting my weekly dose of petty drama.  Courtney has been chosen as this season’s villain and has quite a bag of snarky comments on the show, but I just wanted to share my two cents amidst all the harsh criticism from the viewers.  I thoroughly enjoyed working with Courtney, and contrary to her villainous role on The Bachelor, I thought she was incredibly sweet in person.  Beautiful girl who doesn’t take a bad picture.  I’ll be tuning in every week this season to see if she’s the final pick!  Go Courtney!

Justin is a young, new actor, having just graduated from Cornell.  Great kid.  Very easy-going with a great attitude that’ll serve him well in the business.  We did a two look photo session.  For the first look, we picked a casual t-shirt to emphasize his marketability as an approachable boy next door.

For the second look, we decided on layering a denim jacket.  We did mostly commercial shots, but this one theatrical shot jumped out at me.

I met Natalie through her boyfriend, whom I also did headshots for.  Natalie has gorgeous features, but I especially like this headshot because there’s a mystery behind her eyes and it shows that she has more depth to portray characters that extend beyond the stereotypical ones of a stunning blond bombshell.  She’s very versatile.

Happy New Year, everyone!  Tim was one of the headshot sessions that I did while I was back home in Dallas for the holidays.  He’s a friend of mine from back in high school who’s out in New York now pursuing singing and musical theater.  Back in Dallas, he’s signed with a commercial agency called Clutts.  Incredible singer.  We explored different shooting locations in downtown Dallas, and I found so many great spots.  Just check out the lighting in the theatrical shot below!  I hope to do a lot more headshot sessions in my future visits to Dallas.
